The story takes place in USA in Connecticut.
The people in the story live in a big house with an addict.
The addict is dark and full of big boxes with writing on them that says what is in this box.
The main character is usually in her bedroom. Janie's bedroom is full of stuff. she have a bed, a big closet and allot of magazines. This is a very girly room.

Three objects that is important to the story:
1) Janie had a silver notebook with glitters on it that had a clip in the front of it. There she put the milk carton with her face.
2) In the addict of Janie's home was a box with the letter 'H' on it. The letter meant Hannah. Hannah was the daughter on Janie's parents (not the real one) and the woman who kidnapped Janie.
3)Janie had a red, fluffy and curled hair. The hair is important to the book in the part that she and Reeve drove to New Jersey and saw some of the Springs and they were all red haired. That is another proof that they are family.
